Practice Based Pharmacists (m)

The Pharmacists in the practice are here to assist the GPs with prescribing and the patients with their medicines. This may include reviewing your medication, finding alternatives if your medicine becomes unavailable and discussing any concerns or queries you may have regarding your medication.

David Lenagh (m)

David is a qualified Pharmacist Independent Prescriber and assist the practice by carrying out Asthma and COPD review clinics. For most patients these are annual reviews but for some they will be more frequent. the asthma/COPD reviews involve discussion around symptoms and progress, listening to the patient's chest and checking their breathing, optimising the patient's treatment and helping improve inhaler technique.

Aileen Quinn (f)

Aileen joined our practice a year ago and has a background of 14 years working in Community Pharmacy. Aileen has a keen interest in diabetes, in particular Type 2 Diabetes. She will soon be enrolled on the Pharmacist Independent Prescriber course next year. This will enable Aileen to carry out diabetic reviews for patients of the practice with Type 2 diabetes, helping them to manage their diabetic control through both lifestyle interventions and by making adjustments to their medication where clinically appropriate.
